UCD3138A: Compensator design in Fusion Digital Power Studio

I couldn't open E2E website yesterday because my internet has issue. Regarding to your questions, the answer is not straight-forward. I have to check the expert who wrote transfer functions for GUI.

Actually, you can get an application note " UCD3138 Control Theory" from the website.

I can get the UCD3138 Control Theory, and understood the setting range of Fp.

Although, when I close the GUI after editting parameters, I can not open it again with the following message.

Fusion Digital Power Tool Fatal Error

Error loading or running application library: 呼び出しのターゲットが例外をスローしました。

Please let me know the countermeasures.

The procedure is as follows:

1. Uninstall the Fusion Digital Power Studio

2. Install again to C:/Program files (x86)/Texas Instruments/Fusion Digial Power Studio

3. Open Sample Project->UCD31xx Isolated Power Controllers->UCD31xx LLC Half Bridge

4. Select Design Mode and edit Stage Parameters and Coefficients

5. File->Exit without Save

1. I having trouble reproducing the error.  When you are selecting the sample project you are in offline mode correct?  And the error you are experiencing is that when you try to run online mode or offline mode?

2.  Can you send me the zipped data folder located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Fusion Digital Power Studio\data ?

Can you run the application as "Admin" and let me know if you have the problem.  When I used your data folder and admin mode I did not have a problem.

1. Can you do a fresh install in admin mode and then start the application in admin mode, open the LLC sample project like you have done before, and then close and reopen in admin mode.  Does the error occur again?

2.  If the error continues please send me the data folder again. 

3. Please confirm which version of the GUI you are using.  Also what operating system are you using?

4. If you save the project before exiting with are you able to open the GUI and load that project file or are you having the same problem?

If you are still having an issue, if you delete the *.xml files in the Data folder it should re-open.  I will also look further into the issue.

The results are as follows:

1. When re-install, start, open the LLC sample project, close without editting, and re-open in admin mode, the error did not occur.

3. Version of the application is 3.0.51, and OS is Windows Pro Version 1909.

4. When saving the project to the local directry before exiting, I can not re-open the application.
