TPS25221: Possible ILIM Resistor > 210k?

Part Number: TPS25221

Hi Team,

I am looking into TPS25221 design where the ILIM resistor is recommended to be smaller than 210kOhm. Is it possible to use a resistance higher than 210k?

From my understanding the major limitation here would be Ios accuracy according to figure 24 from datasheet. Higher ILIM resistance means lower Ios with widen min and max range. Are there any other considerations?

Best Regards,

Peiheng

  • Hi Peiheng,

    Correct. It's suggested to use [20kohm, 210kohm].

It will influence the current limit accuracy if out of the range.

For details, please refer to 9.5.1

I don't have the exact data of the influence as out of the range.

For TI's policy, I will first click resolved button.
