ATL431LI: High Bandwidth Low-IQ Programmable Shunt Regulator (Pulse Current - IkA)

Part Number: ATL431LI

I have an inquiry in regards to the component ATL431LI. Please see inquiries below:

  1. What is the maximum pulse current (I_KA) that the ATL431LI – High Bandwidth Low-IQ Programmable Shunt Regulator can support?
  2. Would TI have any characterisation for maximum pulse current (I_KA) where VKA is ~2.96V that we can abide for the component ATL431LI?

Please note: The pulse width of the current is ~540us. It occurs every 1 kHz (1ms).

  • Hi Tam,

We do not  rate the ATL431LI for pulse currents. That type of testing is reserved for power products that run into thermal constraints. At 2.96V the ABS max of 15mA will not violate the thermal constraints of the ATL431LI unless the temperature is already extremely high.

Please do not go above 15mA RoC on the ATL431LI your pulse current.
