Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25731,
Hi team,
What is the efficiency at 8A output when Vin=20V, Vout is around 9V?
Datasheet efficiency curve is only up to 6A
Thanks!

Hi, Allen,
The output current may be limited due to 10-mohm current sense. BQ25731 is a new part and supports 5-mohm current sense. It provides ~96% charge efficiency at 9A. See datasheet efficiency curve Figure 8-4.
Hi Tiger,
Customer already selected BQ25713. they need efficiency to guide their test.
BQ25731 efficiency is more higher than BQ25713 in datasheet at 0~6A.
BQ25713 @20V input/6A output is ~94%, 20V/8A should be lower 94%.
Do we have BQ25713 completely efficiency data? Under 10mohm , it still can charge at 8.1A.
Thanks!
BQ25713 is a charger controller, which means the efficiency depends on external MOSFET, inductor and current sense resistors. In BQ25713EVM, we only tested the charge current up to 6A with 10-mohm. My suggestion is to reference to the new part or new design, which offers better efficiency.
