Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92692
Hi team,
My customer wants to supply the power to Vin pin and inductor separately.
To Vin : 8V
To Inductor : 4V~6.5V (4series NiMH battery)
Is it no problem for TPS92692?

Saito

Hello Saito-san,
There can be an issue with soft-start if not done properly. The TPS92692 will start the sequence of soft-start when power is present at it's VIN. So the sequencing of power should be power to the inductor first then power to the TPS92692 so you can have a normal soft-start. If the customer cannot gurantee that power sequence then they have to pull the Soft-Start cap to ground with an open collector transistor when the power to the inductor is not present. Then the TPS92692 will operate properly with soft-start when they have power to the inductor.
Thanks Tuan
