Do you mean can I reload the firmware onto the chip and then the config? The chip must be loading and running the firmware OK as I can talk to it and read off SOC info.

The last plot I posted shows the cycle count at zero.  Is this why the battery capacity isn't decreasing with age as the Cell Terminate Voltage is too low and therefore a full cycle in my application isn't being registered/causing an update (this was the motivation for trying to increase the Cell Terminate Voltage)?

What is the value for "Flash Update OK Cell Voltage" set to? This is found under Data Memory->Configuration-Power. Sometimes you receive this error if Flash Update OK voltage is greater than the  cell voltage.

Do you have an EV2400 you could try using instead of the EV2300? When you open bqStudio does it automatically select your device or is there a pop up asking you to choose your device?

Unfortunately I only have the EV2300 programmer. When I load Bqstudio it goes straight in i. e. no need to select the chip type like when the chip is not connected.

Are you able to change any of the other parameters? This error means that the firmware did not accept the value. What value are you trying to write to Cell Terminate Voltage?

I've disconnected the pack from the load to ensure its not actively measuring something and hence locking the edits.  I've also restarted the board.

Editing Cell Terminate Voltage I've tried small adjustments from 1750 to 1740 or 1760.  I've also tried 1917 which is the value I'd like to change it to and hopefully trigger the battery capacity estimation process.

I also tried changing Max Res Factor from 50 to 15 under gas gaguing, manufacturers data under configuration and Voltage divider under calibration.

Unfortunately I'm not able to change any parameters.

I've reloaded the firmware which I was hoping not to need to do.  I can now edit parameters fine so it looks like something was corrupt.

Going back to the original issue of the battery capacity not being updated as it ages and the cycle count reading zero (after many cycles), will increasing the Cell Term Voltage fix the issue?

Hi Neil,

The cycle count is incremented based on design capacity, so as long as the design capacity is set correct then it should be fine. Have you selected the correct ChemID using GPCCHEM? Also, can you make sure impedance track is enabled?
