BQ21040: Programming current range

Part Number: BQ21040

Hi!

The electrical parameters section of the BQ21040 datasheet indicates I can program this part down to a charge current of 10mA (page 5 of the datasheet [SLUSCE2D]). In the Iset section there is a statement that indicates the lowest the charge current can be programmed is 50mA (bottom of page 13). The graph showing the current vs programming resistor also only goes to a value of 10K, which also seems to say 50mA is the lowest it should be programmed. My application requires 37.5mA for a low fast charging current and 75mA for the high fast charging current.

Is the BQ21040 actually capable of reliably providing down to 10mA, thus the 37.5mA I need?

If not, can you recommend a part in a similar package that can meet my specifications?

Thanks,

JB
