Battery Studio Chem ID Updater does not work:

- "Chemistry programming failed! Error code =3"

- "Chemistry programming error: Packet checksum mismatch"

Battery Management Studio version 1.3.101 Build 1

Firmware Update sluc580 "BQ34Z100G1FirmwareBundle- 0.16"

Also: the "Execute FW" button on the programming screen does not work. What action is expected when selecting this button?

Hi Steve,

The checksum error means bqStudio is expecting a certain value but the received value is not what it's expecting. Does bqStudio auto detect the gauge? If not make sure you are using the right .bqz for the firmware.

Hi Abraham,

BQ Studio does autodetect the gauge.

I downloaded BQZ file 0100_016-bq34z100G1.bqz and SREC file BQ34Z100_g1_V0_16_BUILD17.srec

How can I verify that BQ Studio is using the BQZ file I have downloaded?

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the information, you can delete the old .bqz from config folder, then bqStudio uses the one you downloaded.

You can try the test version (1.3.102) of bqStudio while I confirm this with a bqStudio expert.
