Hi Daisuke,

Yes it is low active reset and VIL is 0.3 VCC. If you do not want to control it by your controller, it is better to pull it up.

However, your answer is not what I want to know.

I do not control RESET from the outside.

Shouldn't the VCC and RESET be connected directly?
If a direct connection doesn't work, why?

Hi Higa,

Sorry that I misunderstand your question before. There is no difference directly pull high to VCC or through resistor. It is a digital input pin so that the leakage current is very small. Also it can stand 7V voltage no matter IC is powered up or not. I think there is no need for a resistor.
