Could you tell where LM317KTTR's thermal pad should be connected? GND is OK?

Hi Takahashi-san,

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the thermal pads are recommended to connect to GND to improve thermal.

Please let me confirm again.

Is it OK that the thermal pad is connected to GND? It seems that OUTPUT-pin is connected directly to the thermal pad.

Hi Takahashi-san,

I have reviewed the bonding diagram, and I believe for LM317, this is a floating LDO with no GND pin and the thermal pad is actually part of the OUTPUT metal that will be connected to the OUTPUT.
