I want to disable communication of the battery pack when the gauge IC or 2nd protect IC blows the chemical fuse.

Since communication is possible in PF mode, is there a way to shut down with FUSE blow?

Or is there any other way to disable communication?

Hi,

One option is you could manually disconnect the SMBUS pullups via mosfet when this occurs.

Unfortunately the pull-up resistor is outside the battery pack.
(1) Use the drop of the pack terminal voltage value
(2) Use the decrease in VCC pin voltage value
Is it possible to use such a method?

Hi,

We don't recommend any method that would shut off the device as you would lose other protections.

Currently, the only condition for FUSE blow is an SUV.
Therefore, the FUSE blow condition = shutdown condition.

However, if 2nd Protection blows FUSE, it will not shut down. Communication is also possible.

Is there a way to disable communication or put it in shutdown mode when 2nd Protection blows FUSE?

As long as the gauge is powered it is able communicate.
