Design tool with constant current source

Hi team,

Good day.

The LED driver tool (http://www.ti.com/design-tools/webench-power-design/led.html ) provided in the previous post is not available. Do we have a new design tool that can provide a constant current source since the Webench is using a constant voltage source? In Webench there is no option to select an LED constant current option, only DC/DC voltage converters.

Hello Sean,

Good day.

Our customer is looking for a device to run a 3V 4A LED from a 5V source that can be run in constant current mode. Checkin into our LED driver product list, it seems our LED drivers with the constant current mode has Imax of 1.92A only (https://www.ti.com/power-management/led-drivers/products.html#p2192=Constant%20Current&o4=1&sort=p451max;desc). Do we have any other suitable solution?

Hi Carlo,

As I know, for such high current application, it needs a buck controller with the external MOSFET instead of the converter. LM3644 is the most closeest one which can deliver up to 3A application. TPS92640/1 is the buck controller which can deliver high output current. May I know is there any other devices that can support such kind of requirement?
