TPS25947: What would be the changes between the preview version and the final production?

Part Number: TPS25947

Hello,

I want to use TPS259470LRPWR in our final project. So, I would be grateful if you let me know what would be the changes between the preview version and the final production.

Also, I did not put any capacitor at the output of the part due to lack of space, is it ok?

The schematic is shown in the below picture.

Thanks

  • Hi Zrea,

    Welcome to e2e.

The only major change in the specs from the current datasheet to the final datasheet would be for the max reverse polarity changed from  -19V to -15V.

Can you let us know what are the key parameters you are looking for in your application ? Also, can you throw more light on your application use case of TPS25947.

Also schematic is not attached properly . Please re-attach it.

    Thanks

  • Hi Kunal,

Thank you for your reply. I used the part at the end of a Buck Boost to protect it by load by over current protection and also short circuit protection. Also I want use OVLO to protect the load.

As I said,  I did not put any capacitor at the output of the part due to lack of space, is it ok?

    The schematic is attached.

  • Hi Zrea,

We recommend minimum cap of 0.1uF or more for decoupling. Keeping it zero won't affect device operation.

The only major change in the specs from the current datasheet to the final datasheet would be for the max reverse polarity changed from  -19V to -15V rest would be same.

Also you can refer datasheet section 10.1 Transient Protection for more details on additional component you can use for transient protection

    Regards
