Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76920, , TIDA-00792
I am considering using BQ78350-R1A with BQ76920 for a 4S 150 Amp continuous discharge pack.
Is it the right solution?

Hi Anil,
This solution will work. You will need to scale the current to measure higher than ~32A. This link will help show how to do this:

I have used TIDA-00792 as a reference, but have replaced several parts for the customized application.
How do we ascertain that the customization works, like the elimination of charge-discharge FETs and the use of a very low value of sense resistor?
Hi Anil,
Use of a very low value sense resistor is very common. You just need to follow the steps in the presentation I sent to scale the current.
If you removed the CHG and DSG FETs, how will your system protect itself? Do you have another way to stop charging or discharging. For example, what will happen if there is a short between the battery terminals or if the cells are over-charging?

Matt
Sure, I just sent you a private message. I will go ahead and close this thread.
