Hello team,

The datasheet mentions that the VBAT is connected to VOUT via 15 Ohm switch.

Is this PMOS or NMOS?

If so, is the leakage lower than 100nA when VDD=3.3V and VOUT =3.0V?

I found this thread discusses about the leakage, but I'd like to make sure I_BAT specifies the leakage and it is OK for my battery.

Hi Itoh-san,

The switch is most likely a PMOS switch. I do not have any leakage information so I cannot answer your question.

Hello Ben-san,

Could you please check the leakage spec to the design team? I believe this matters to the system reliability.

Or, does TI have another parts with guaranteed leakage current spec?

Hi Itoh-san,

Base that the TPS3613-01 is an old device, the design files are difficult to obtain. Also, the design team will have a difficult time running any kind of simulations because the design files probably use a legacy simulation tool that the design team no longer uses.

Also, leakage current is dependent the process that the IC was developed on. Most of the battery backup supervisors (i.e. TPS3600Dxx, TPS3619/20, TPS3606, etc.) all have leakage current within +/-100nA. Looking at our product lineup, we do not have any newer battery backup supervisors other than the ones that I have listed above.

Hi Ben-san,

Is TPS3613 process similar to the supervisors you listed up?

If so, I can tell my customer that the TPS3613-01 leakage is likely to be within 100nA, OK?

I believe they are from the same process. Yes, the leakage will likely be with 100nA.

Do you mean the 100nF leakage current for TPS3600Dxx, TPS3619/20, TPS3606, etc. is specified as battery supply current when VOUT=VDD?
