TPS65216: How to terminate unused DCDC2 pins

Part Number: TPS65216
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3351,

Hi team,

My customer will use TPS65216 for powering AM3351.

VDD_CORE and VDD_MPU of AM3351 are same voltage so DCDC2 is unused.
How to terminate FB2 and L2?

I referred the following E2E Jason addressed but I don't understand what is COMP3, there is no same pin name.
Does this mean L3?
In case of DCDC2, should FB2 and L2 be connected to GND via 10kohm and 1nF?

Best regards,

  • DCDC1 and DCDC2 start up at the same voltage (1.1V) so you can still connect DCDC1 to VDD_MPU and DCDC2 to VDD_CORE if you want.

If you don’t want to use DCDC2,  you can short FB2 to FB1 to “trick” the PMIC supervisors into seeing the correct voltage on DCDC2. VIN_DCDC2 would still be connected to VIN (5V) but an input capacitor would not be needed at this pin. And L2 can be left floating.
