Hello,

The chip BQ28Z610-R1 is out of stock in all suppliers, even its BQ28Z610 version. Is it becoming obsolete? Or is it too high demand? I checked on TI's website and it says Active for it's status. The lead time is also very high in all suppliers.

What can I do? I need this chip for a new product.

This is due to the increase in demand for our products during the pandemic. These products are in Active status, and our supply chain is actively working to improve lead times and deliver on orders received.

We might be able to support some sample requests for your initial prototypes, but for mass production quantities we recommend that your company/supply chain place orders as soon as possible so we have visibility into the true demand.

I looked at the sample status for the BQ28Z610-R1 and the BQ28Z610 at ti.com, and it says "Samples: Not available" for both. Is it possible to get samples in any other way?

If not, are there any options?

Hi Eduardo,

What quantity of samples are you needing? Then, I can check and see how much of your request I can actually support at this time. Do you work with a TI sales rep or field apps engineer? They can submit a samples order request for you. If you don't have a TI rep, then we can sync offline by email and see how to ship the parts to you.

Hello Rushi,

If we can get 2 samples that'd be perfect, simply to test our prototype. It's the very same circuit I've posted a few times on this forum with questions about this chip.

Our company currently don't work with a TI sales rep or field apps engineer. We're Atman Systems - www.atmansystems.com
