I am working with a "smart" charger
We are expecting an automatic function where the battery broadcast (Bus master), an expected charge voltage and current to the charger.
It seems to not work with the charger BQ24725A. From TI forum I have seen other having the same problem and explained by incompatibility
as the battery sends the SMBUS messages with PEC (Package error checking), an extra byte after voltage / current.
The BQ24725A treat it as an error and does not respond to the message.
Soo to my questions:
1: Is it correct with this incompatibility for BQ24725A
2: Do you know of a walk-around?
3: Does Texas have any other charger which will work with this type of battery?
