Design for DDR5

HI Team,

Recently heard from my client that the latest platform (like Genoa and Ego stream) will be using DDR5 to support memory power instead. Please correct me if I am wrong. The power management function would be designed in DDR5/ memory board itself. Does that mean there is no opportunity for us to sell parts for DDR application any more? If yes, could you suggest me on that? If no, is there any opportunity for DDR5? Thanks

Hi Danny,

What type of device are you looking for? Depending on the device application and requirements of DDR5 there are ways to power DDR5 using existing devices but this will vary depending on what the end application and requirements are.

Hi Danny,

Unfortunately I am not aware of these systems you mentioned. Are you looking for a single rail buck device or a multiple rail PMIC type device?
