BQ24105: How to set Charging temperature range

Part Number: BQ24105

Dear Team,

How to set the Charging temperature range at temperature of 0~40 ℃? (initial set up is 0~40 ℃)

If customer use 103AT NTC Thermistor, could you suggest us  resistance value?

Thanks a lot !

Jimmy

  • Dear Jimmy,

The sample calculation can be shown on the datasheet on pages 26 and 27. I will walk through it here.

    1. Calculate the chosen thermistor resistance at the desired temperatures according to the manufacturer's instructions (either using a table or an equation given). The cold value for 0C will be RTH_COLD and the hot value for 40C will be RTH_HOT.

    2. Identify %HTF (34.4%) and %LTF (73.5%) from the datasheet.

    3. Solve the equation on page 27 of the datasheet for RT2. Please make sure V_LTF and V_HTF are the TS voltage multiplied by the % (HTF or LTF) and are divided by 100.

    4. After solving RT2, solve the equation below it for RT1.

This should give you your resistor divider you are looking for! Please refer to Figure 14 on page 27 of the datasheet for the TS schematic example.

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel
