TPS3808: Part similar to TPS3808 but with inverting output

Hi team,

My client was using TPS3808 for previous projects, and they would like to know if we have similar part to TPS3808 but with inverting output. or something like that. Could you pls advise on this? Thanks

Hi Danny,

We have the TPS3840 which has similar features as the TPS3808 but without the SENSE pin. If the customer doesnt need the SENSE pin and can use a fixed threshold voltage, then the TPS3840 is an excellent choice.

Hi,

Please see below. The output is active high but push-pull. There are two output topologies that are open-drain or push-pull active low.

Hi Ben,

To make sure my understating is correct, does "active-low" mean the inverting output as I just mentioned?

and there is no suitable part just same as TPS3808 but only the inverting output different.

Hi Danny,

For example, active-low or asserted-low means that if the monitored voltage goes below the threshold, the output will go low. Conversely, active-high or asserted-high means that if the monitored voltage goes below the threshold, the output will go high.

Hi Danny,

The TPS3840 has an output variant that is "active high" meaning when the supervisor senses a fault, the output will go high. Only one difference though, the TPS3808 has an open-drain output topology while the TPS3840 has a push-pull output.

One more thing, the TLV840M is another option. The customer can request samples at this time. Do you know what phase is the customer's application is in?
