Hi
If VBUS do not have power supply, does the discharge path correct? Battery --> buck inductor --> Q2 -->PMID ---> System
Does Q2 fully turn on or use the diode? If take this path, is there a current limit?
Thanks

Hi Star,
Yes there is a path through the diode of the HSFET. On battery only the converter will not be on due to SLEEP mode so Q2 would not be on. There is no discharge current limit as the body diode orientation means even if you turn the FET off, it won't block the discharge current limit. There is also the ability shown in the datasheet to use an external FET to connect BAT and SYS.
