For bq27542 fuel gauge IC,

the full charge time can be reduced by setting the Taper current,

RSOC: 99~100%, 99% of the electricity to 100% of the time;

I want to know how to reduce the discharge time,

RSOC: 100~99%,

Reduce the battery discharge time from 100% full charge to 99% charge?

Hello Scofield,

Are you saying the gauge reports 100% too long during discharge? Can you clarify what you'd like to do further?

The gauge may report 100% for longer if there was any overcharge condition, it may report 100% until the overcharge is gone.

I want to shorten the time of discharging RSOC100%~99%,

now the time of discharging RSOC100%~99% is 27 minutes,

I want to shorten it to 10 minutes

Hello Scofield,

The gauge will report the RSOC as it is calculated, it's usually not based on time, but the current rate/temperature of the batteries. If you are discharging at a low rate or as I mentioned the battery is overcharged it may take awhile to decrement.
