LDO dual channel selection

Hi all,

I need to select an LDO dual channel:

  • Vin<5~6V , Vinmax= 9V;
  • Vout 1=3.3V
  • Vout 2=1.8V

Solution should be in small package (e.g. qfn 8/14).

Have you got any suggestion?

    Hi Nicolas,

    There are several LDOs that you can use within the specs you provided. However, if you can provide more information I could provide a better solution (i.e. Iout, application of LDO).

    Also, is the small package a must? There are some dual channel LDOs i.e TPS767D3, TPS73HD3, that have the option of fixed outputs of 1.8V and 3.3V, however, the packaging size is not as requested.

    Hello Nicolas,

    Another option is two small LDOs like TLV767. They are 2-mm x 2-mm each. 

    One of the drawbacks of a dual LDOs is that the total dissipation can cause the device to become quite hot.
