I'm wondering if there is an alternative part that I could use. I placed an order with mouser, but with the delays the part got backordered before my order was filled. It seems like this part is very popular with large volume designs, unfortunately I only needed 2 of them! If anyone knows where to get a small quantity that would work too, I checked all of the large suppliers but they are all out of stock.
The part needs to switch a medium size solenoid and ideally have an adjustable current limit (1A is fine), with an input voltage of 7-36v (12 to 24 could work too). I already have a freewheeling diode in the design. The ideal substitute would have a pin compatible footprint, which I'm now realizing is very hard to find. Space really isn't an issue, I just chose the part because it had good specs.
