BQ27Z561: I2C communication issue

Part Number: BQ27Z561

Hi team,

My customer highlighted one strange symptom during I2C communication process.

They use MCU's GPIO to control CE pin and the voltage level is 1.8V.

And they find if the BAT voltage is above 4.1V then I2C interface will terminate. BAT below 4.1V is no problem during first power on.

But if they first power on when BAT voltage is below 4.1V, the I2C communication is ok even they slowly increase BAT voltage upto 5V.

And they also tried to tie CE pin and BAT pin together for the testing, I2C communication is also no problem.

So customer would like to know the reason? and is there any limitation between CE and BAT?

Thanks
