TPS2042B: Help selecting Power Switch: TPS2042B with internal pull down for both Enable Pins?

Part Number: TPS2042B

Hello,

do we have any Power switch in the portfolio, that is similar to TPS2042B, but has internal pull downs at EN1 and EN2?

Kind regards,

Marion

  • Hi Marion,

What do you mean for internal pull down for EN pin?

This pin is used to drive the power FET.

If you want to pull down EN, you can add resistor to PGND outside.

For TI's policy, I will first click resolved button.

If you have any other concern, contact me any time.

If you think resolved, please help click 'Issue is solved button'.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Ziv,

I assume, that the pins are being actively driven and that they have problems at start up.

Would a res on PGND help in this case?

    Kind regards,

    Marion

  • Hi Marion,

Sorry for the late reply due to TI website maintenance.

What do you mean for start up problem?

    Any waveform or details?

I think if you meet the EN pin voltage spec, you can add any other res.
