BQ34Z100-G1: Meaning of Qmax DOD0

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

I had some issues getting learned status to change from 04 to 05 during the learning cycle. I was finally able to get this to work after learning that the difference between Qmax DOD0 between a rested full DSG and a rested full CHG needed to be greater than 14746. I had to really stretch the bounds of the 6s pack to get there by aggressively tapering at both ends of CHG and DSG as well as slightly overcharging the cells by a few mV.

I don't believe I have seen this number documented anywhere and I have no understanding why it ranges from ~1300 at full CHG to ~16000 at full DSG.

What is the meaning of this measurement and why the requirement of a difference greater than 14746 to learn Qmax?
