TPS65218D0: PMIC configurable through I2C possible at TI end?

Part Number: TPS65218D0
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS6521815,

We want to use this part for XC7Z020 but as per my study it requires I2C host which can configure (one time) the device and it will add complexity to the process.

Does TI provides/sells devices after configuration as per our application (specific for zynq 7000) or it is on customer side? Does it have different part number?

Also can you suggest any specific integrated PMIC which can be used for zynq 7000 SOC (1V, 1.5V and 1.8V) with power sequencing feature?

Thanks,

Jaimin

  • Hi,

Your request has been forwarded to the applications engineer supporting this device. She is based in Dallas and provide you the feedback during USA time zone.

However, technically it may be possible for TI to configure this, but it will be a new part number and needs strong business case to justify the effort. But please wait for feedback from this device expert.

    Regards,

    Murthy

  • Hi Jaimin,

As Murthy mentioned, re-programming the TPS65218D0 would require a strong business case for one-time programmable spin. If you wish to use a programmable PMIC, we offer the TPS6521815, which may suit your needs as well.

    Best,
