Hi Team,
Can you please check and advise following request;
"
What exactly is the "LED Short to Ground Detection" part mentioned for the TPS92692-Q1 IC?
Can we detect whether an LED is short-circuited or the line is completely short-circuited?
Is it possible to do a demoboard of the buck structure to examine the IC?
Again, we have an application such as setting up a buck structure with your MC33063A and controlling the system with the help of opamp - bjt. Is there a technical problem you foresee on this issue?
"
Thanks in advance

Hello,
Yes, it will detect an LED short for instant in the Buck Boost configuration but you would need the PNP transistor to differentiate the LED voltage feeding back to the OV pin as shown in figure 54 of the data sheet.
You can do a board to examine the Buck structure if you like but it will be a floating buck and not a ground reference Buck. We would recommend the Buck Boost for driving LED with our part.
Thanks Tuan
