TPS784: test mode for TPS78401

Hello expert,

Customer would like to know if there is any test mode in TPS78401. They don't want to enter test mode suddenly in normal operation for TPS78401. May we have your help to answer this question? Thanks a lot!

Hi Ann,

I'm unsure what the concern is from the customer here. We specify our datasheets with abs max values to prevent any unintended operation or damage to the device. As long as the customer operates the device within these limits, they should expect normal operation as described in the datasheet.

Hi Ann,

I'm still confused about the question. What conditions will the customer be applying to the device? Are they exceeding abs max? Perhaps we should discuss over email.

They won't use it over ABS max rating. They just want to know if we have test mode in factory and they don't want to enter it suddenly. I will send you email for this case, Thanks!

Hi Ann,

I see. If the customer exceeds the EN pin frequency, they may inadvertently enter a test mode. So they should stay below 10 KHz toggle rate on that pin.
