TPS2121: Power mux application

Part Number: TPS2121

Hi,

My customer is asking for below part, he wants power source 1 can provide to system and source 2,

also power source 2 can provide to system and power source 1, and have independent enable for both power source1/2,

I have check TPS2121 but it have reverse current protect seem can't meet requirement, have any other suggestion? thanks!

    Hi Jeff,

    TPS2121 cannot perform demuxing applications (1 source, 2 outputs) and it cannot perform reverse supply (output to input). This is a unidirectional 2:1 PowerMUX device with integrated reverse current protection and channel to channel conduction prevention.

    At this time we do not have a device capable of performing as you describe and in my opinion, you may need to use multiple back to back FETS with a complex driver and control structure to build a bi-directional 3 way switch.
