TPS55288: Layout on 2-layer PCB

Hi team,
In "10.2 Layout Example",it is recommended to design with 4 layers.
If I design with 2 layers what kind of problem will be happening?

Hi Sir,

1. The four layer layout has better heat dissipation performance. So you would see 2 layer layout has higher IC temperature rise.

2. It's recommended to set the inner layer 1 as the whole GND layer in four layer board design. It's better for the EMI.
