My customer is evaluating TPS552882-Q1 for an automotive related peripheral, 9-15V input , 12V 1.25A output. Schematic and PCB is as below. so far,
function is OK and even passed the aging test. but when they do the transient test, several damaged cases were found( chip,external MOS and inductance are all break). Transient test is switching from 0A to 1.25A, frequency is 30Hz, duty cycle is 50%. during the transient test, they also changed the input voltage from 9 to 15V. please help to check their design and help to highlight if there are some weak points in this design. thanks.
