UCC28063A: Is the AC input current sinusoidal?

Hi Team,

With reference to the scope image below, our customer would like to confirm if the AC Input current on a circuit with UCC28063 must be sinusoidal. The AC input voltage is 100V and is the same at 120VAC & 240VAC.

    Hi Poster,

    yes, it should be sinusoidal even that at zero crossing period there may be some small distortion.

    the waveform you attached is abnormal waveform for UCC28063A. at this moment the controller may not be able to start up and work.
