EV2400: is damage due to wrong connection of the BQ device

Part Number: EV2400
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100-G1, BQSTUDIO

Hi,

Unfortunately the BQ34Z100-G1 was soldered in a wrong way on the board and it was connected to the EV2400 I2C port. After this the EV2400 doesn't work. Is there any way to fix this broken EV2400 or not?

Thanks

  • Hi

As the EV2400 could be detected in the BqStudio, I thought that maybe there are problems with the safety part of circuit, so I opened EV2400 box and traced the SCL and SDA signals according to the schematic. The R18 resistor was broken. changed it with another 100ohm Resistor and the issue is resolved.
