TPS92200: suggested for lcd backlight?

Hello,

would it be a good idea, to use the TPS92200D1 to drive the Backlight of a LCD-Display for a home-automation product, since it is cost sensitive?

The Backlight has to be dimmable and the circuit shoud be very efficient to avoid any heating in our Product.

We have Vin=24VDC and the LED´s have Uf=12VDC and If=140mA.

Thank you, for your reply.

The Backlight is made of 14 LEDs - 7 parallel lines with 2 LED in series each.

we are currently using another Display (only 60mA) with your driver IC TPS61193, which has spread spectrum for lower EMI. Is there a similar and cheaper IC with spread spectrum and minimum external parts we could use, in case the TPS92200 would cause EMI problems?
