TPS7B69-Q1: Recommended guide for ISO 16750-2 requirement

Part Number: TPS7B69-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01167

Hi Team,

My customer needs to change from TPS7B6950-Q1 to new LDO or new application for ISO 16750-2 requirement. I already searched TI's LDO that meets this requirement, but I didn't find a suitable LDO. Please check it and recommend a new LDO or new application.

  • Hello Jeffrey,

What's the max input voltage expected during transient events like load dump? If it's 174V, then we don't have any offerings. However, I suspect they may be clamping the voltage at a certain level.

  • Hi Aaron,

What's the max input voltage expected during transient events like load dump? It is 202V(28V+174V) without clamping according to my customer's response.

As you told me on previous post, I think that TI doesn't have any LDO solutions, but I want to know the applications that can meet ISO 16750-2 requirement. Please check it again.

    Regrds,

  • Hi Aaron,

I found the reference design document(TIDA-01167) for automotive 12V, 24V battery input protection on TI website. This helps me and my customer apply the protection circuit for ISO 16750-2 requirement. Thanks for your support.
