PT78ST106S: Design files

Team,

Customer is looking for PT78ST106S design files to as the device is obsolete. And customer wish to build boards if TI can share design files & BOM for the module.

          Can you please provide us the requirements for the application? We can recommend alternate modules that can work in the customer application.

    We dont provide the design files for the module to the customer.

    Gerold,

    We are looking for drop-in replacement to PT78ST106S .

    Basically we trying to avoid the changing in the layout of the Existing PCB. 

    so, we are planning design a discrete DC-DC converter and mount on the same pads but we are looking for the help from TI to package ( mounting structure ) our design similar to PT78ST106S .

    That's why we are asking for the design files. ( only to refer the packaging details)

    HI Prahlad,

    Unfortunately these device packages and portfolio has been phased out and become obsolete. 

    Currently there are no discussions on creating new devices in this style of package. 

    As a result I would suggest the customer redesign using the latest buck regulators (controller, converter, modules) that actively being supported by our apps team.

    In the mean time, I am trying to sort through and gather up information on this design. 

    Expect to hear back from me by end of tomorrow at the latest.

    Hi Prahlad,

    Unfortunately there is no further information on this other than what I found below. This is a relatively old device that has since been obsolete and information on it is hard to come by. If you are wondering on the dimensions of the module, I'd guess it is roughly 800mil x 1200mil (L x W). 

     

    That's about all I can find about this device unfortunately.
