Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5170,
Hi,
I'm trying to evaluate the LM5170EVM. However, controlling the current with ISETD is not working as expected. I have enabled ISETD operation through jumper J6, and have disabled outer voltage control loop by removing jumper J36. Moreover, I'm using a single phase and CH2 is disabled while CH1 is enabled. I have also ensured to configure the other necessary jumpers correctly to set the DIR, UVLO, and Master Enable commands. The EVM with current jumper settings I'm using is shown below:
When I perform the test, I setup the EVM to operate in buck mode and connected a 100 Ohm resistor across the 12V port, and a 48V DC supply across the 48V port. I generated a PWM signal with duty ratio of 0.1% which would translate to a DC Channel current of 0.0625 A, using Equation 10 from the LM5170 data sheet for single phase operation.
However, the current I see is only 0.039A, and the output current at the 12V port remains at 0.039A even after I remove the pulses from ISETD pin (pin 13) on header J17 of the EVM. Could you please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong here?
