BQ40Z50-R3-DEVICE-FW: Issue with identifying BQ40z50-R3 within BQ Studios

Hello,

My customer brought an issue to my attention that within BQ Studios, the BQ40z50-R3 is not always available as a supported target. They installed BQ Studios a year ago and that download has the BQ40z50R3. However, they installed BQ Studios on a new device today and BQ40z50R3 was not a selectable target.

I replicated the experiment myself, downloaded BQ Studios from ti.com today, and saw the same issue (image below).

Any thoughts why BQ40z50-R3 is not a selectable target?

Hi Jacob,

Thanks for reporting this, I believe it is a known issue in the latest version of BQStudio and should be fixed in future releases. Since it's not showing up they will need to re-download the R3 firmware and add the bqz file to BQStudio Config folder.
