I know that the spec recommends max cap at soft-start (LL/SS) of 0.47 uF, but we have trouble with it starting up without using a 1 uF cap. I'm using option 5 at the BW pin, but on the spreadsheet, I'm not sure what I should try for values in the LL/SS section. What is the limit for Tss (cell C201)? I choose the Css cap to be 0.47uF and then change the Tss value until the recommended Css matches my 0.47uF. This value for Tss turns out to be 50ms, so is 50ms that max time that can be set?
The entry for Cell C204 is not well understood. How do I make this determination? What's the range of values that I can use? What is recommended if a long softstart is desired?
Option 5 is selected at BW, so what is recommended for values for Vssinit (cell C206)?
I think I need longer soft-start because of the large capacitive load that I have. Will changing the values at the VCR pin provide faster charging? What is recommended here?
