TPS549A20: Can PMBUS pins being grounded when take TPS549A20 as a replacement of TPS548A20

We encounter a supply shortage on TPS548A20 and consider replacing it with TPS549A20 which is with the PMBUS interface, besides some slight different default settings such as frequency and start-up time, the main problem is that the PMBUS pins will be grounded, will it be a problem if these two pins are not well pulled up?
