TPS40090-Q1: EN pin input levels

Part Number: TPS40090-Q1

Hello,

Can you please confirm my understanding of datasheet terminology with regards to voltage levels on Enable pin:

  • "Enable threshold voltage"- voltage higher than the specified value will enable the device, voltages lower will disable it. To guarantee enable: Ven>2.5V, to guarantee disable: Ven<0.8V.
  • "Enable voltage capability"- maximal voltage that can be applied to the EN pin.

Thanks,

David.

  • 1- Yes, that is correct. Pull higher than 2.5V to enable, and lower than 0.8V to disable. Note this does not mean there is a large amount of hysteresis, just that the threshold is not well controlled.

2- The enable pin may be up to 16.5V or VIN, whichever is lower.
