Hi,
My customer is evaluating TPS2490.
Charging and discharging are repeated on the TIMER pin when the current limit, nevertheless TPS2490 is latch-off type.
Is this correct behavior?

Kuramochi

Rakesh-san,
Thank you for your support.
I have additional information.
My customer says that charging and discharging were repeated since the external SW FET breaks.
Have you ever heard of such a phenomenon?
And, it means that this is an abnormal condition.
They concern about the TPS2490 switch into an auto-retry mode in normal operating conditions.
Is there any possibility like that?
Best Regards,
Kuramochi
Hi Kuramochi-san,
No. That phenomenon is not expected.

Hi Rakesh-san,
Thank you for your reply.
Though being different from designated, I attach the waveforms.
VOUT and IOUT are not shut off because FET is broken.
I request the customer designated waveforms.
Best Regards,
Kuramochi
Hi Kuramochi-san,
You mean FET has damaged. Can you share schematic and filled up design calculator for review. The design calculator is available under product folder.
Best Regards,
Rakesh
