Part Number: TLC6C5724-Q1

Hi Team,

1.My doubt is we can only configure the device either with Grayscale configuration or FC-BC-DC am I right ?

2.what is the purpose of blank signal when we are using FC-BC-DC configuration?

Figure 2 in date sheet is little confuse.

1.before configuring the device blank goes High and we can see the output on(assuming that configuration is done at rising edge of 288 sclk and latch high) how it is on?

2. I understood that blank is used for resting PWM count which is used for gray scale, how it is applicable for FC-BC-DC? if so, how much time it should be high. how to configure?

3. In first cycle blank goes high in 3 sclk and in second cycle it is high?

We offer the option for customer and you can use it by your need,

2.what is the purpose of blank signal when we are using FC-BC-DC configuration?

BLANK low forces all channels off. Grayscale counter resets, grayscale PWM timing controller is initialized. BLANK high starts grayscale PWM timing controller, channels are controlled by PWM timing controller.

about below questions, please help to mark it on the figure and upload it,  i can't get your question. thanks

  • Thanks Frank,

1.I am not clear with the first answer, what will happen if we configure the device first with FC-BC-DC and followed by gray scale, will the device execute both the configuration or it will execute the configuration which is written 2 time?

2.we are using 6 devices connected in a daisy chain, so we need to transmit 288 * 6 configuration data, do we nee to transmit 1728 bits in a single Stritch by generating 1728 spi clock  or can we break it by first sending 288 bits then getting next 288 bit and configuring the device ie we will send first 288 bit using 288 sclk and we will get data from other module and then send the next 288 bits, there wont be a continuous data transaction will this work?
