Hi Team

we have BQ35100 used on our custom board for monito battery capacity, this IC Supports lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2 )chemistry. As per datasheet we are following procedure method but unable to read correct battery capacity

I have read few posts - if CHEM ID is not properly loaded then we will not get correct battery EOS

Right now I am using SAFT LS33600, What is chem ID for this Battery?

How can i generate CHEM ID for this battery and How to program CHEM ID without evl kit

Note - BQ35100 interface with microcontroller using I2C

Hello Abhay,

It's recommended you use the exact battery that has a match in the chemistry ID database. If you are operating in EOS mode and only need the EOS alert without the SOH readings then you can adjust the long term trend and short term trend to signal the alert at the EOS % you want.

you mean BQ35100 wont support SAFT 33600 battery chemistry.

Could you please share us the chemistry ID database or where can I found ?

Hello Abhay,

If the battery is not in the database I would recommend using one that is characterized, unless you only need the EOS alert.

The chem ID database is in bqStudio, there's a chemistry tab on the top menu bar.
