BQ24610: Paralleling mosfets on the ACFETs

Hi,

I want to add a parallel mosfet to each these mosfets, is it possible or is there any way implement this feature with N-Channel FETs? Current will be higher than 10 Amps on the adapter side so I want to lower the resistance and distribute the heat. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Yasin,

You cannot use this part with NFET input reverse blocking FET. The ACDRV gate drive can only drive PFETs.

Thanks! Well, can i add a parallel PFETs to both Q1 and Q2? Is it okey?

Hi Yasin,

Yes you can. If you want, you could remove Q2 connection. This limits inrush current to the system by providing limited dI/dt when connecting the adapter to the system by controlling the FET turn-on time. It is not critical like Q1 which blocks reverse current and is required. To reduce RDSon you could maybe just parallel Q1.
