Hi,
"ISO-16750-2 pulse B" is written on the datasheet as below;
Does this mean ISO-16750-2 pulse 5B?
If yes, how much was the pulse width on the test?
It is specified 40ms~400ms.
Best Regards,
Kuramochi

Hi Kuramochi ,
Here ISO-16750-2 pulse B refers to 'Load Dump Test B – with centralized load dump suppression'. Please refer to section 4.6.4.2.3 of ISO 16750-2 document for understanding on this test.
In this test a voltage of 35V is applied for a pulse duration of 40ms~400ms like you mentioned. Since LM74700-Q1 is rated for 65V Abs Max, it can safely withstand 35V for 400 ms duration (even without a TVS). The TVS selected, SMBJ33CA has a breakdown voltage of 36.7 V which is greater than the 35V applied during the suppressed load dump. Hence, the TVS used here is not intended to clamp the suppressed load dump because it is not required in the first case.
