LP5562: WLED pin to control ASIC reset function

Part Number: LP5562

Hi team,

My customer has a question about the WLED signal function.

They has understood that LED sink and RGB dimming can be controlled independently.

Due to they will use WLED signal to control other chip’s reset trigger, can WLED signal output (or sink) only low or high (or open drain) not pwm dimming?

If WLED can only output (or sink) PWM signal, it will has risk to be a reset signal for other chip.

  • Hi Feng bin,

The LP5562 device has 4LED drivers that are constant current sinks with 8-bit current and 8-bit PWM control. If you want to control the WLED individually, please try the following two steps:

    1. set the W PWM register(0Eh) to 0xFF
    2. set W_CURRENT register(0Fh) to 0x00 or 0xff to achieve low or high signal

If this resolve your problem, please click the 'this resolve my issue' button.

    Best Regard
